Default Dwayna's Curse

I expect you guys have seen this sort of build before, but it's what I ran on my Necro for a bit and I'm wondering whatchooo think of it.

Well, if you're just puttering around, go nuts. Having fun is the most important thing, as long as you realize that there are far better things for a Necro primary to be doing than spreading conditions. Your Elite choice is even sub-par compared to Foul Feast, which is in your primary attribute.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention, never run that in a PuG. H/H or a Guild "Byob" is cool, but you should really be contributing to your team.

I agree, it's weak for both NM and HM.

I would drop Purge in favour of FF, allowing you to use a better elite from SR/Curses

I would also remove Shadow of Fear and Poisoned Heart as in NM enemies should die so quickly that reducing their attack speed is not necessary, and in HM they have IAS therefore decreasing it has less of an effect and it is more effective to make them take damage from attacking, taking advantage of their natural Hard Mode buffs or making them miss (Blind/Blurred Vision/Reckless Haste)

Most conditions are harmless when used on you and by you so taking heavy condition removal is generally not required, still, weakness and cracked armour can be effective, moreso in HM but overall I would favour more damage than heavy party support.

EDIT: As party support appears to be the main focus I would abuse PvE skills (assuming you have EotN) such as Great Dwarf Weapon on physicals and make sure enemies are at their most vulnerable through enchant stripping (Rip) and anti-blocking (Rigour Mortis and Defile Defenses).

Other than these...small.. tweaks, have fun

Er...
Well you appear to be trying to make the most of conditions. Generally this isn't advisable. Condition based builds are viable, but not like this.
Necromancers only really have immediate access to one truly useful condition (weakness). Cracked Armour is semi-useful. The rest of the necromancer conditions are just poor degen (Poison, Disease and Bleeding).

You have both Martyr and Purge Conditions. With the former, the latter is certainly redundant. Martyr itself isn't a very efficient use of an elite.

I suggest looking at the more offensive aspects of the Curses line. There are far stronger options than this.

It provides little support and is a vulnerable target. It'd be better to go curses and prot, for aegis/prot spirit.

Very little damage for NM and HM. In my opinion, degeneration is useless in PvE. You need more damage skills.

Try going to pvxwiki.com for more builds.

0/10.

Time for brutal honesty: It sucks.

If you want a good condition build on a necro, go Me/N and use the Fevered Dreams bar than Xeno has posted before, or some variant on it.

Unfortunately, I'm getting the impression that your problem isn't necromancer cluelessness as general GW cluelessness. I'm not sure there's anything that can be done in this thread to address that adequately for you. We can hand you a better build (just did), but, because your current build is so awful, understanding why it's better would take hours.

Perhaps I should find time to get back on my project of writing up the PvE fundamentals...
